Organization Description

Luke Planning's unique visioning process is based on 5 key principles beginning with the development of a community vision and culminating in the collaborative implementation of that vision:

1. Community Strategic Planning – Luke Planning generates core values, visions, key benchmarks and strategies that define a community's future by using processes that encourage broad public participation.
2. Vision Partners – The firm obtains the endorsement of vision partners committed to the long-term implementation of the community vision.
3. Strategy Benchmarks and Action Steps – Luke Planners along with the vision partners then adopt specific strategies to establish benchmarks to measure annual progress for each strategy, and develop action steps for implementation.
4. Communication and Accountability – During the project, Luke Planners maintain a constant stream of communication with the community and vision partners about progress on individual strategies, with an annual report on the progress of the Strategy Benchmarks to ensure accountability for the process.
5. Leadership - A diverse and community based steering committee provides leadership during the vision development and collaborative implementation processes.
