YES! Magazine is a non-profit publication highlighting diverse forms of activism and encouraging solutions-oriented dialogue across the globe on topics relating to justice and sustainability in politics, the environment, social and cultural issues.

Resource Description

Published in print and in part online by the Positive Futures Network (PFN), an independent, non-profit organization, YES! Magazine highlights a great breadth of creative, solutions-oriented ideas and examples of activism in the world, all with a focus on the positive.  News stories and pressing issues facing the world are reframed and reborne in the YES! publication, offering readers a different perspective than other media sources.

Each issue contains in-depth information on current issues, solution models, case studies of individual and group activism, a creative, arts-oriented section, and a few feature articles.  With over 50 issues so far, YES! has covered a wide variety of themes and topics relating to justice and sustainability in the fields of politics, the environment, social and cultural issues, and the economy.

Online, YES! makes available some of its magazine content and archives to all users.  Other online offerings include magazine blogs from readers, with posts on everything from relationships and voting to social movements and carbon issues.

Online there is also a special section for teachers and educators, with a newsletter and a database of resources, examples of classroom activities, tools and curriculum that can help teachers integrate a focus on activism and solutions-thinking into the classroom.
